Hi, I'm Lisa Clifford, Shift Happens Therapy Founder
I became a therapist because I genuinely care about how people feel and what they carry. I don’t believe anyone should have to struggle alone or make sense of everything in their own head.
I value honesty, kindness and real conversations — the kind where you don’t have to perform or pretend you’re okay. I bring warmth, gentle humour when it helps, and a steady presence you can lean into.
Outside of therapy, I’m a real person too — I drink too much tea, overthink things sometimes and care deeply about people finding relief and connection in their lives.
It’s okay if things feel heavy or unclear right now. You don’t have to arrive with answers — just a willingness to begin.
Therapy is a place to slow down, feel what’s really there, and be met with care rather than judgment. You’re welcome here exactly as you are.

At Shift Happens Therapy, we don’t just talk—we take action. Using CBT, we’ll uncover the thoughts and patterns holding you back, challenge what’s not working, and put practical strategies into play. Together, we’ll set clear goals, test out tools in real life, and keep tweaking until you feel real, lasting shifts. Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and focused on helping you get unstuck and move forward.
